My quick and easy start to Kids Clothes Week. Lame but I'd never done pockets before but Soph ended up loving them. She's got a couple more simple skirts coming her way this week. Diana, does this fabric look familiar? One man's trash is another man's treasure- just the perfect amount for this! Can't wait to see what you've all been up to!

Kids Clothes Week
Anyone want to join me for the Kids Clothes Week? It's always the motivation I need to finish all those projects I've got lined up. So next week we can spend at least an hour a day whittling away at our pile of fabric, mending, hemming, etc. You in?

a new cover
I dressed it up and it looks adorable in my opinion. If your having a girl...LOOK OUT
THE POCKET
THE LEFT SIDE
THE RIGHT SIDE
The easiest skirt/shirt ever
This is the square skirt off of MADE and it is easy and adorable. Find out how big the hole is for the waist. You take how big the waist is + 2 inand divide it by 6.28 and that is the circumference. So for Kenney she was 17in + 2 divide by 6.28= 3in. then I measured how long I wanted it from her waist down. I did 5 in. This is my patteren.
Then I fold my fabric in half and then in half again and then place my pattern on the folded corner.
Cut out and there is your hole for the waist. Attach some elastic and there you have it. When it gets to short put leggings with it.
Then with the shirt you cut flowers, get some wonder under from Joann's, iron it on and then sew on the edges. Because it is knit it does not need any sewing on the edging.

New Maxi Skirt
After such a skirt making marathon, I couldn't be left out... I made mine today during nap time.
Sorry for the terrible cell pic.
What I learned: If you want to make a chevron maxi skirt, or maxi anything, it is much harder to match up larger stripes than smaller ones. You don't notice if a smaller stripe is off, but you do on a large one.

A little Valentine's banner
Just a quick little heart garland we did over at our house. I used Dana's tutorial for her heart garland. Quick and fun. The kids gave them to their teachers for valentine's and they loved them!
